Also called aventurine, aventurine, aventurine. Aventurine is silica, a fine-grained specialty of quartz. The coloring component is chromium or copper oxide. Aventurines are usually green, red, blue, less commonly yellow, orange and pink. The addition of hematite, mica and goethite scales gives a sparkling-golden shine. The most common color of aventurine is green, which is added by a special fuchsia with muscovite chromium.
